10 STEPS TO BECOMING A BETTER YOU (STEP #1)

So, the new year has come upon us! I’m so excited about what this year is going to bring! God is setting us up for something new, something refreshing, something absolutely FABULOUS!!

One thing that I purposed in my heart was to become a better me in every aspect of my life! So, for the next few weeks, I’m going to be sharing with you some things that I will be doing to challenge you in this area as well.

On today, I want to give you step 1. Are you ready?

Step 1: Go to another level in walking in humility.

Whatever level you are on right now, I challenge you to be better than before. Humility, according to dictionary.com, is the quality or condition of being humble, modest opinion or estimate of one’s own importance, rank, etc., the act of being humble.

When you walk in humility, you CHOOSE to do your best to walk away from the levels of pride and arrogance that you were walking in before, but first, you have to acknowledge that it was or is something that you actually walked in! You walk away from egoism and the idea of self-importance.

Why? Well, I’m glad you asked!

Because the opposite of humility is pride. Pride is what will bring a lot of people, a lot of relationships, a lot of situations and circumstances to a very low place! Pride is the thing that separates us from God. It’s the very thing that separated Satan from God and got him kicked out of heaven from the very presence of God. Pride is the thing that can change your destiny if you’re not careful. Humility is what will lift you up and take you to places of favor and breakthrough that you never before dreamed!

So, I’m not saying that I nor you are extremely prideful, but I am saying that everyone has levels of pride that need to be dismantled. So, if you’re believing God for an even greater new year, the first step that I give you is to walk in a greater level of humility!

When take heed to the word, great things happen!

As we embark on a new journey, a new year, your first challenge is to bring your pride levels to a low so that your humility levels can go on a high. If we do, God will exalt us and bring us into even greater levels of favor and breakthrough! Take Him at His word. He cannot lie. #Selah
