GET OUT YOUR FEELINGS!

Listen…this year is almost up. We’re so close to a new year beginning. Matter of fact, we’re just a few short weeks away!

As I was meditating on what to say in my newsletter for this week, I heard very clearly “tell them to get out of their feelings”!

Ok, so let me get to the point.  Feelings…..do you find yourself an emotional wreck?  Attitude. Frustration. Fear. Doubt. Insecurities. Broken. Misjudged. Mistreated. Depression. Anxieties about certain things. Rejected. Abused. Misused.

You see yourself on this roller coaster ride going up and down….sometimes the ride is so fast it’s scary.  Sometimes it feels like slow motion. Sometimes it feels like nothing is happening, and you begin to question God about what’s really going on in your life.

I get it. I’ve been there; however, I’ve learned over the years that if I don’t check my thoughts, my thoughts will check me. If I don’t check my emotions, my emotions will check me. If I don’t get it together, it will lead me farther down than it will up. In essence, all these negative thoughts and emotions don’t help! They only put you in a deeper hole while you’re kicking, screaming, yelling….yelling for a way out!

Emotions have everything to do with your flesh.  Your flesh is a terrible master, but a wonderful slave. God needs you.  He needs you to react, respond and do things by the spirit, not by your flesh or aka….your emotions.

Watch the reactions that you give to life, people, situations and circumstances.  How are you responding? Is it in a way that will make God smile? Or, will He frown and shake His head saying….”He/She did it again.”?

It’s in you to not let your emotions get the best of you. You’re stronger than you think.  Just surrender to God. He’ll take care of it, but you have to trust Him. You have to be at peace knowing that God got you. It’s beyond you. Stop stressing and let God do it.

Your emotions, when out of order, can get you in a world of trouble.

Don’t go into 2019 an emotional mess!

Get out your feelings. Get in the spirit. God got this.
