New International Version
Joshua Installed as Leader
1 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. 4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. 5 No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.
The Prophetic Word for today! Joshua ARISE….Go. Fight… Win… Be All In.
God is looking for the Joshua generation to rise up in this hour…to represent Kingdom…to tap into a Canaan that you have never experienced. God is pouring milk and honey for those that are surrendered….those that are ready… those that are determined.
Here are a few things that I need you to understand about the Joshua Generation:
- Joshua had to let go of the old so he could embrace the NEW. Joshua accepted the fact that Moses was dead, and he had to step his game up and lead the right way.
The Joshua mindset- learn from your past, but don’t let it hinder your future.
2. Moses made excuses. Joshua made it happen.
Moses gave God reasons why he couldn’t do what God told him to do. Joshua understood that if God said it... that's it! Joshua gave the people no other choice but to GO and trust God!
3. Joshua didn’t involve a lot of people to confirm what God was doing. The Moses generation was doing the most. The Joshua generation didn’t need a crowd of people; they only needed the power of 2. He remembered it only took him and Caleb to see what God needed them to see. Moses sent 12. Joshua sent 2. Everybody doesn't need to know what God is doing with you right now in this season.
4- Joshua generation understood the power of great faith.
While the majority of the people questioned the command of God to conquer the land of Canaan, Joshua and Caleb stood out as the only ones who said that God was well able to conquer the giants and give them the land (Numbers 13,14). They were ready to step into the land of their promise!
